Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to services purchased from Centcept Technologies. We provide consulting and custom software development, typically delivered through milestones and time-based work. We operate from Kolkata, West Bengal, India.

1) General Principles

Because our work is custom and begins immediately after kickoff, refunds are evaluated based on the engagement type, completed work, and agreed milestones. The terms in your signed proposal/contract prevail if they differ from this page.

2) Deposits and Kickoff Fees

Any non-refundable deposit or kickoff fee will be clearly stated in the proposal or invoice. If a deposit is not explicitly labeled as non-refundable, we will consider a partial refund after deducting costs for completed work and reserved capacity.

3) Milestone-Based Projects

  • If you cancel before a milestone begins, any prepaid amount for that milestone may be refundable, minus payment processing fees and any work already performed.
  • If you cancel during a milestone, refunds (if any) are prorated based on the work completed and deliverables already shared.
  • Completed milestones are not refundable once delivered.

4) Time & Materials / Retainers

For time-based work, billed hours already worked are non-refundable. If you have prepaid for a block of hours and cancel, unused hours may be eligible for refund at our discretion, after deducting administrative and payment processing fees.

5) No Refund Scenarios

  • Change of mind after work has started or deliverables have been shared.
  • Delays caused by missing inputs, access, approvals, or third-party outages.
  • Completed milestones, delivered source code, or transferred assets.

6) How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email hello@centcept.com with your project name, invoice reference, and a short explanation. We may ask for additional details to verify the request.

7) Processing Time

If approved, refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing time depends on your bank/payment provider.
